Welcome to Mallorca, Spain
Mallorca, the largest of the Balearic Islands in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea, is often called the pearl of the Mediterranean and is ranked among the most attractive destinations in Europe and the world. Every year it welcomes millions of visitors, drawn by its crystal-clear waters, around 300 days of sunshine and its blend of nature, history and culture.

The capital, Palma de Mallorca, is a lively cosmopolitan city with a charming old town, the Gothic Palma Cathedral (La Seu), the Royal Palace of La Almudaina and Bellver Castle. Beyond Palma, visitors can explore the Serra de Tramuntana (UNESCO World Heritage), the Coves del Drac, villages such as Valldemossa, Deià and Sóller — which inspired Chopin and Miró — and turquoise coves such as Caló des Moro and Cala Mondragó.
With Palma de Mallorca Airport directly connected to most European cities, modern infrastructure and warm hospitality, Mallorca offers an ideal setting for scientific exchange — and, in July, long sunny days by the sea that invite participants to extend their stay.
We look forward to welcoming you in Mallorca!
